Promote Order Technique and Adding new field in the process in GUMU for Sage CRM- Sage X3

In GUMU™ for Sage CRM – Sage X3 integration, we have provided with the feature where the user can create Orders in Sage CRM and promote the same in Sage X3 ERP.

In this blog, we will discuss technique/logic, we use in our GUMU™ framework in our current version of GUMU™ Sage CRM Integration with Sage X3 (1.0) while promoting customer from Sage CRM Sage X3.

New Stuff: Pre– Requisites for installing GUMU for sage CRM- Sage ERP X3

For promoting order from Sage CRM to Sage X3 to we use field mapping table and the XSL technique.

  1. All the list of fields for which we want to promote data from Sage CRM to Sage X3 while promoting order is stored in this (GT_Fieldmapping) CRM table. This table contains the columns like CRM source field name, Sage X3 source field name, Sage X3 screen name which will be used by GUMU to create XML which can be passed to Sage X3 web services to create records.
  2. Above field mapping table consists of records for other processes as well but the data which represents field names for Promote order functionality are represented by “promotesalesorder” in column erpm_entityname and value as “promote” in column erpm_process.
  3. Once the list of fields are fetched from the Sage CRM database from above mapping table, GUMU creates the XML using XSL template files we created which is stored in XSL folder in GUIU in Sage CRM directory.
  4. In case if someone wants to promote data of a new field from Sage CRM order screen into Sage X3 using Promote order process then user can add entry of that new field in above fieldmapping table as well as in XSL and can promote data for corresponding custom field yourself.
