When a quote is cloned in Sage CRM, users may need to refer back to the original quote to review its details. To make this easier, a customization has been introduced to display the original quote reference directly on the cloned quote.
Cloned From Field on the Quote Summary Screen
A new field, quot_clonedfromqt, has been added to the Quote Summary screen with the caption Cloned From.
The field displays the Quote Reference of the original quote from which the current quote was cloned. The reference is also provided as a hyperlink, allowing users to navigate directly to the original quote record.
How the Customization Works
When a user opens a cloned quote, the Cloned From field displays the reference of its source quote. Clicking the reference opens the original quote in Sage CRM.
For example, if quote QT-10140 was cloned from QT-10025, the Cloned From field on QT-10140 displays QT-10025 as a hyperlink. Users can click the link to access the original quote without searching for it manually.

This customization makes the relationship between cloned and original quotes easier to identify, simplifies navigation between related records, and provides quicker access to the original quote information.
