When creating quotes in Sage CRM, the shipping address may not always be confirmed. Waiting for the final delivery address can delay order processing.
With GUMU™ for Sage CRM–Sage 300, a customization allows users to promote quotes even when the shipping address is yet to be determined.
Shipping Address TBD Checkbox
A new Shipping Address TBD checkbox has been added to the Order Summary screen in Sage CRM. Users can select this checkbox when the shipping address is not yet available.
How It Works
When a quote is promoted to a Sage 300 order through GUMU integration, the system checks the checkbox selection:
- Checkbox selected: The integration automatically populates the Shipping Address Line 1 field in Sage 300 with
TBD. - Checkbox not selected: The shipping address is processed using the existing integration logic.
Once the actual shipping address is confirmed, the team can update the address on the Sage 300 order according to the company’s business process.
This customization allows sales users to proceed with quote promotion without waiting for a finalized shipping address. It also provides a consistent way to identify orders requiring address confirmation while preserving existing address handling for other orders.
