Enable Lightning Experience on Salesforce

Salesforce describes Lightning as the future of CRM. Lightning has been a multi-year mission for Salesforce. One of the most prominently visible feature in the lightning experience is the new and refreshing User Interface. However, this is not all that there is to lightning. It also offers a platform designed to maximize sales rep productivity, analytics and in-line intelligence that help organizations sell faster and work productively.

To enable the lightning experience in your Salesforce org, navigate to Setup. Click on Lightning Experience in the left hand pane of the setup page.

Lightning Experience

Go through the recommended features list and enable those settings. Define user permissions to decide who can use the lightning experience. Finally enable the lightning experience at the bottom of the page. Now you’re set to use the lightning experience. To switch to the Lightning Experience, click on your name at the top of the Salesforce page and click on “Switch to Lightning Experience”. Click Switch on the confirmation message. You will now be viewing the Lightning version of Salesforce. Click here to know about more features of Salesforce Lightning.

If for any reason you wish to revert to the classic version, you can click on the user icon at the top right corner of the screen and click on “Switch to Salesforce Classic”. This will load the original version of Salesforce.
