Promote Quote from SF to Sage X3 ERP using GUMU™ Lightning Components

In this blog, we will discuss about how the user can promote a Quote from Salesforce to Sage X3 ERP by using GUMU™.

Below are the steps to create New Quote from Opportunity Layout: –

  • Login to Salesforce.
  • Navigate to “App Launcher”.
  • Search and Select the “Opportunity” for which the Quote needs to be created.
  • Click on the “New Quote” button which is present in the related list of Opportunity as shown in the below image.

  • After clicking the “New Quote” button, a quote page will appear. User can add necessary information and hit “Save” to proceed.

  • Now navigate to Quote viewing screen by clicking on Quote Number. From here user will able to Add Products and Promote Quote from Salesforce to Sage X3 ERP.
  • Click on “New ERP Product” button to add line items to the Quote.

Note: We populate pricing for selected product on real time basis from Sage X3 ERP.

  • After adding all the required information, click on “Promote Quote” button, user needs to fill in required details (as shown in below image). Finally, clicking on “Promote” button will Promote Quote from Salesforce to Sage X3.

  • User can now click “Promote” button, and he will receive a confirmation box, asking permission whether to Promote the quote to Sage X3 or not. If user clicks on “OK”, it will proceed with the promotion.

  • User will see the Sage ERP Quote Number, once the record is promoted without issues and proper validation.

And using this functionality the Salesperson in field, can now smoothly transfer the Quote data back to Sage X3 ERP for further processing.
