In our previous blog Understanding and Debugging the Import Log for Errors in Salesforce, we tried to explain how the user can view status of Import and debug the information in the log (to troubleshoot any related issue). In this blog, we will be sharing, details about why was it needed to introduce “Pagination” in the log section of Import Routine. This introduction will now allow users to view older logs as well.

Let’s take an instance, one day User does the routine checkup for the Imports. And also wants to view older logs as well which will help him understand whether the data is being imported in an efficient manner or not. And are there any errors for data coming from Sage to Salesforce for the past few days/weeks due to some reasons, the user can make use of “Pagination” to view the older logs in Salesforce.

To view the older logs in the Import routine follow the below steps:

  • Login to Salesforce Org.
  • Go to “Setup” and navigate to app launcher and select “GUMU Settings” from app list.

  • Click on “Entity Mapping/Import” tab to view entity list page.

  • Select the entity mapping for which you want to view the logs for and go to the “Details” tab.
  • Click on Logs section under the Details tab to view the older logs, by selecting the number of Logs you wish to see on the page from the given range and this will provide you with an ability to navigate back and forth by clicking on “Previous” and “Next” button. Refer the below image:

Through Pagination users now have the ability to view older logs as well keep a track on the data imports. So that if there are any errors, they can always work upon them by referring the logs.
