With the release of Sage CRM 7.2, Sage has introduced many valuable features which has proved very beneficial for every business sector. However some issue which were encountered in Sage CRM7.2 version were been resolved in the upcoming patches.
However, after upgrading Sage CRM from 7.2 d patch to Sage CRM 7.2.I patch we tried assigning multiple Display Team for a particular user in Sage CRM.
On saving the User details page we received ‘unexpected event error’ message as below.
However on investigating we observed the below error message in the SQL Logs.
SQL Error: Cannot insert the value NULL into column ‘ChLi_ChannelLinkId’, table ‘CRM.dbo.Channel_Link’; column does not allow nulls.
This particular issue can be resolved by following the below steps:
- Go to your SQL CRM database
- Execute the below Update Query.
SET bord_idfield = ‘ChLi_ChannelLinkId’
WHERE bord_caption = ‘Channel_Link’
- Perform Metadata refresh from Sage CRM.
- Perform IISRESET.
