Salesperson Commission Tracking in Sage CRM Using Commission tab

By | April 29, 2026

With our continuous efforts to enhance GUMU™ functionality, we remain focused on simplifying day-to-day processes and making important data easier to access for users. In this blog, we are introducing an enhancement that helps teams track and analyze sales commissions directly within Sage CRM in a much more structured way.

In practical scenarios, commission data is often available in the system, but not always in a format that is easy to work with. Users usually have to refer to multiple screens or export data to understand performance — whether it’s checking how much commission a salesperson earned or analyzing contribution at a customer level.

To make this process simpler, a requirement was identified to bring all commission-related data into a single, interactive view inside CRM, so users can quickly access and analyze it without extra steps.

To address this, we introduced a Commissions Tab in the My CRM context, which provides a consolidated view of all salespersons along with their commission-related data.

In addition, a Commission Grid was added within the View ERP Data tab in the Customer context, allowing users to view salesperson-wise commission details specific to the selected customer.

When users open the Commissions tab, they can see key details such as fiscal year, fiscal period, salesperson number, commissionable sales, profit, and commission — all presented in a clean, grid-based format.

By default, the system displays data for the current year, so users immediately get relevant insights. At the same time, filters such as company code, salesperson, year, and period range make it easy to drill down into specific data based on requirement.

From a usability point of view, this makes a noticeable difference in day-to-day work.

For example:

  • A sales manager can quickly check which salesperson is generating the most commission
  • Finance teams can review profit vs commission trends without exporting reports
  • While analyzing a customer, users can directly see which salespersons contributed and how much they earned

All of this can now be done within CRM itself, without switching systems or preparing separate reports.

Overall, this enhancement makes commission tracking more practical and easier to use within Sage CRM. By combining structured grids, filtering options, and contextual views, it allows users to work with commission data more efficiently as part of their regular workflow.
