In today’s blog, we are excited to introduce a new enhancement — Salesperson Mapping Integration, designed to ensure accurate alignment between CRM users and ERP sales records.
While creating Orders within Opportunities, there was no direct or automated linkage between the Sage CRM user and the corresponding Sage 300 Salesperson.
This often led to:
- Manual selection of Salesperson during order creation
- Increased chances of incorrect mapping
- Inconsistencies between CRM and ERP data
To address this, there was a clear need for a structured and automated Salesperson mapping mechanism.
To support this requirement, we introduced a new selection field — “Salesperson” at the User level in Sage CRM.

This enhancement enables:
- A 1:1 mapping between CRM Users and Salespersons
- A consistent and reliable reference point for all sales transactions
Smart Auto-Population in Order Creation
Additionally, we introduced a Salesperson field in the Order Summary screen.
When a user creates a Sage CRM Order within an Opportunity:
- The system identifies the Project Manager assigned to the Opportunity
- Fetches the mapped Salesperson to the Project Manager
- Automatically populates the Salesperson field
This ensures that the correct Salesperson is assigned by default, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy.
Flexibility with Control
While the field is auto-populated, users are still given the flexibility to modify the Salesperson value if required.
This ensures:
- Business flexibility for exceptional scenarios
- No compromise on user control
Seamless Synchronization with Sage 300
Upon promoting the Sage CRM Order into Sage 300:
- The selected Salesperson is automatically synchronized
- The value is mapped to the Salesperson field in the Sales Split screen
As per the defined process:
- Each Order will have a single Salesperson
- The Sales Split will always be set to 100% allocation
