Simplifying Quote and Order Search with Product Code Lookup
Businesses managing a large volume of quotes and sales orders often spend considerable time searching for specific customer transactions. While Sage CRM provides powerful search capabilities, searching for quotes or orders based on the products they contain is not available by default.
To address this challenge, we developed a customized Product Code Lookup solution for Sage CRM that enables users to quickly find quotes and orders containing a specific Sage 100 product.
This enhancement simplifies Order/Quote retrieval, reduces manual searching, and gives sales teams faster access to product-specific transaction information.
The Business Challenge
Our client frequently needed to identify quotes and orders containing a particular Sage 100 product code.
The standard Sage CRM search functionality allowed users to search based on customer and document-related information, but there was no direct way to search transactions by the product or item included in them.
As a result, users had to:
- Open multiple quotes or orders individually.
- Review the line items on each document.
- Manually determine whether the required product was included.
- Spend significant time searching through historical transactions.
As the number of quotes and orders increased, this manual process became increasingly inefficient and made it difficult for sales representatives to quickly respond to customer inquiries.
Our Customized Sage CRM Solution
To streamline the process, we enhanced the standard Sage CRM search functionality by introducing a Product Code SSA Lookup on both the Find Quote and Find Order screens.
The enhancement allows users to select a Sage 100 product directly from a lookup and use it as a search criterion.

Instead of manually entering and searching through product codes, users can select the required product from the lookup. This provides a more intuitive and efficient way to locate product-specific transactions.
