One of the awaited features that we were looking from Salesforce technical team is HTTP PATCH verb.
Our product GUMU™ Integration deals with various web services as a part of integration with ERPs. Posting huge records with lots of ERP data was causing unnecessary performance issue with PUT verb. In other words, we are able to send only updated field as a part of Web service update using PATCH verb support. So, with PATCH verb, we are now able to partially update record in target system which wasn’t possible with the PUT verb.
We can use the following code snippet to use PATCH Web verb as an example.
