Mapping Sage 300 Salesperson to CRM user

Recently we have one customization request from the client for mapping of Sage 300 salesperson to Sage CRM users. To do this customization we have created one functionality from where users can map and set manually Sage 300 Sales Person to Sage CRM users. This functionality developed to integrate Account Manager of Company in Sage CRM with Sage 300 Sales Person.

In this blog, we discussed how we can map Sales Person and CRM users. So that when a new customer is created with a mapped salesperson in Sage CRM then the Account manager got set automatically when this functionality processed. Also, we can set territory of the company using Sage CRM user’s home territory. Refer below steps and screenshots of the mapping process.

After implementation of the above Customization user can see below new screens and option in Sage CRM.

When the user clicks on ‘Map CRM User’. It navigates to below screen. Where user can see all the configured Sage 300 companies (Database) in Sage CRM. Users can select a Company from which they want to map salespersons and click on Next.

On click of Next user navigates to below screen. Where all the active salesperson from selected Sage 300 Company (Database) is shown, for mapping. If there are multiple number of Sales Persons then user can find, on the same Screen using ‘Sales Person’ text field and Find Button.

On this screen in ‘Sage CRM Users’ column all the enabled Sage CRM users are available for the mapping with Sage 300 Sales person. User can select from dropdown and click on ‘Save’ for Save the changes.

When the functionality processed it will update the mapped Sage CRM user for the Customers in Sage CRM. For example in Sage 300 will set salesperson ‘Bill Bhaisson’ for Customer ‘Mr. Ronald Black’. Refer below screenshot.

we have mapped CRM user ‘William Dolan’ with Sage 300 sales person ‘Bill Bhaisson’. Refer below.

When functionality processed it will update and set the Account manager as per the mapped sales person. As per the above example, it will update Account manager as ‘William Dolan’ for customer ‘Mr. Ronald Black’

Using this customization user can easily mapped the Sage 300 sales person and Sage CRM users. And it will automatically update the account manager for the Customer in Sage CRM. By adding some extra logics we can also set territory of the company. We can set home territory of Account manager to the company.
