Portals in Sage Intacct

Portals are used for accessing company site by outside member like Customers, Presenters, Developers, etc. It allows Login functionality for individual portal user and can add their feedback, file, status based on the type of business they are involved in.
In this blog, we are going to discuss how Portals of Sage Intacct will help in such scenarios.
Initially, we will start with the process to add portals in Sage Intacct and then generate the URL to access the portal.

Navigate to Platform Services, then click the + icon beside Portals.

Enter Portal Name and Sub-Domain Name; check “Is Deployed” checkbox then click Save.

Once the portal has been created, we need to add a page to the portal; click New Page under Portal Definition page >> Pages.

Fill the required information of the page as Page Name will be Visitor Login; Page Type will be Login Form and Object Type will be Visitor Login.

Next screen will be displayed as follows; click Save.VisitorLoginSimilarly, create other pages as required.

Login Page should be the first screen to be displayed to visitor for accessing the site; Login is required so that unauthorized user doesn’t have access to the screens. Make the following changes to do so.
Navigate to Platform Services >> Platform Tools >> Portals and click on the portal “tr_Customer-portal” that we created. Click on Edit Properties.

For Main Page, choose Visitor Login from the selection list and click Save.

The Main Page URL for the portal will be generated as follows:

This link will allow an external users access the login page.

On successful login, user will be able to use the other functionalities available for the portal user.

So using the Portals, an organization can give access of the features and information of Sage Intacct to an outside member.
