GUMU™ Salesforce Tricks & Tips – SSL Certificate Error

In this blog we will discuss the error that the users encounter while testing the connection from the respective Salesforce Org to their Sage ERP system while clicking the “Test Connection” button on the Configuration Module.

The same error can be encountered when you try to access the real-time functionalities like “ERP Customer Details” or while “Promoting an Account” from Salesforce to Sage ERP.

Scenario:-
To check the connection between your Salesforce Org. and Sage ERP, click on the “Test connection” button present in the Configuration Module of the GUMU Settings.

User will receive the following error if your SSL Certificate is either Expired or not installed on their server hosting the Sage SData web service URL.

Error:
Error:System.Calloutexception:sun.security.validator.Validator Exception:PKIX path validationfailed:java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException:validity check failed

You will come across the same error if you try to access any real-time GUMU™ functionality, For e.g.: On clicking the “ERP Customer Details”, the “http Status code” would be 101

It will display the following error if you try to access any real time information in your Salesforce org.

Error:
Status Code:101
Error:Error:System.CalloutException:javasecurity.cert.CertificateException:No subject alternative DNS name matching not found

Resolution:-
This error occurs when the SSL Certificate is either expired\not installed on your server. The error will be resolved by simply adding or upgrading the SSL certificate on the server. Kindly ask your IT Team to install/upgrade the SSL Certificate if they haven’t. After the Certificates have been installed the connection will be established again and you can access the GUMU™ functionalities uninterruptedly.
