In this blog, we will discuss how we can fix “the value of NBADR is greater than the number of lines” error while editing a Sage X3 record from Salesforce to Sage X3 through GUMU™. For this blog we will be taking an example of an account field to be edited and saved which should change the Sage X3 account records field on a real-time basis.

What causes this error to occur?

When a user imports or syncs their account without importing the corresponding address from Sage X3 and tries to update the account from Salesforce to Sage X3 then the value of NBADR is greater than the number of lines encountered. As a result, only the migrated accounts from ERP to Salesforce are visible in Salesforce. If the user attempts to update one of these accounts, they may encounter this error.

Steps to follow to fix the “the value of NBADR is greater than the number of lines” error :-

Upon modifying a related/connected record of an Account field within Salesforce, the resulting error of “NBADR is greater than the number of lines” becomes apparent in the “Last Sync Message” field.

The address count in Salesforce is lower compared to Sage X3, as evident from the records.

To fix this error, make sure to sync the address import routine of that Customer.
