Troubleshooting – Length exceed issue in GUMU for Sage CRM- Sage X3

Our GUMU for Sage CRM – Sage ERP X3 is a real time, bidirectional link. In this blog, we will go through an Error message which user may face while using integration and it’s possible solution.

New Stuff: Pre– Requisites for installing GUMU for sage CRM- Sage ERP X3

Error : In Sage CRM system which is integrated with Sage ERP X3 using GUMU™ integration, while promoting a company or updating a company, a person or an address record in Sage CRM, user may come across a warning message as “Length Exceeded” or “Invalid Length”.

The message appears as below,

Reason : The above message usually occurs while updating person phone details , Address phone details or Company phone details from Sage CRM to Sage X3. The message is due to exceeding of of Fax,Mobile or Business phone numbers in Sage CRM.

 

 

Solution : To avoid this issue, user should check and enter correct number of digits for the phone numbers on Person, Address and Company screens. If the user is not aware of the limits of phone numbers in Sage X3 then it can be confirmed by entering it in Sage X3. Once the limit is known, user should enter the exact number of digits in Sage CRM and this should resolve the issue.
