In Sage 300, a PW Requisition typically refers to a Purchase Workflow Requisition. It is part of an add-on module or integration—often from third-party providers like Orchid Systems, Pacifictech, or similar—that enhances the standard purchasing functionality in Sage 300 ERP.

The purpose of this customization is to automatically display BOM component items on the PW Requisition screen, as per user expectations. Each requisition may contain multiple BOM numbers, and their respective components should be fetched and listed accordingly.
Once the screen is opened, the user must select the BOM Item, BOM Number, and enter the Quantity. Clicking the GO button will display the components of the selected BOM in the detail grid.
The requisition quantity will be calculated as:
BOM Component Quantity × BOM Quantity (where BOM Quantity is entered in the Quantity field on the BOM Master Item screen).
For example, if the BOM Component Quantity is 2 and the BOM Quantity is 3, then the requisition quantity displayed will be 2 × 3 = 6.
When the “Save” button is clicked, the component details will be populated in the detail line section of the PW Requisition screen. If an incorrect BOM Master Item was selected and its components were inserted, clicking the “Clear” button will remove the data from the grid.
The Insert BOM Master Item screen includes the following fields.
- Component Item Number
- Description
- Component Quantity
- Requisition Quantity
- Unit of Measure
- Unit Cost
- Master item no.
- BOM No.
This allows the user to easily insert BOM items along with their components into the PW Requisition screen and complete the transaction successfully.
