Managing purchase order receipts specially when the receipts contains serial or lot items which can be time-consuming and error-prone. To automate and simplify this process and reducing the manual work we have developed a PO Receipt Entry Import utility (GRN Import) that allows users to import receipt details directly into the Sage 300 including regular items and serial/lot items.
This Import utility is designed for PO receipt (GRN) creation faster, more accurate and easy to manage even when handling large volumes of data.

How the Import utility will work:
1. Receipt Information Sheet
The essential receipt details are stored on this sheet, including:
- Purchase order number
- Vendor number
- Receipt Date
- Item number
- Quantity
2. Serial/Lot Numbers Sheet
Users need to maintain the second sheet with the following information for items that need to be tracked by serial number or lot:
- PO number
- Item Number
- Serial numbers (if it is serialized Item) Or Lot numbers (if if it lot control item)
- Quantity
It makes sure that each lot or serial number is accurately matched with the item and quantity from the receipt.
After reading both sheets and verifying the information, the import tool generates PO Receipt entry into sage 300.
