In Sage 300 ERP, An Inspection Release Note (IRN) is a document that formally confirms a product, element, or process has met the needed norms after an examination. It’s a critical part of the quality control and material operation processes within an ERP, linking examination results to the ERP system’s records.
In this blog, we will discuss how to print the IRN report. An IRN typically includes details like the inspection date, the inspector’s name, the item or process being inspected, the inspection results (pass/fail), any noted defects, and the authorized release of the item or process.
New Stuff: – GL Customized Report
First, we will create a shipment in Order Entry > OE Transactions > Shipment Entry, where required details will be filled and the transaction will then be posted (Please refer below screenshot).
After posting the transaction, we will navigate to Order Entry > OE Forms > Picking slips to print the IRN Report (Refer below screenshot).
Now the only thing is left to do is select appropriate report and shipment number and on click of print button our report is ready to print.

This report includes following fields and can be modified according to requirement.
- Shipment Number.
- Company Address.
- Ship To Address.
- Bill to Address.
- Purchase Order Number.
- Item Details.
In this way user can easily print the IRN Report.
