Project Task/Status :
One feature from the project manager is, it won’t allow users to complete the projects if there is a pending task against the project. It shows a validation message on the project. User can divide their task as per the project duration. Multiple tasks can be created against one project.
This feature helps users to identify the daily tasks and their time for the projects. Timesheet contains billable and unbillable hours, so the project managers are easily asked the clients for billable hours. Billable days are the basis of the drawdown of allocation of days on tasks. These are the entries which will affect the ‘Estimated and Calculated End Dates’. It will also affect the running ‘Remaining Days’ on each individual task. Unbillable days will not affect these metrics of the project. Also, there is a dedicated ‘Project Timesheet’ tab, where users can see all the timesheet entries for projects. For more simplification, there is two view modes ‘Calendar View’ and ‘List View’.
Milestones allow for an additional level of control on the project for the project manager. Milestones are a means of grouping tasks which are related. After grouping all related tasks into their respective Milestones it will facilitate the project manager to identify the critical path of a given project. It also enables the project manager in the allocation of resources on critical tasks. There is a dedicated tab of ‘Milestone Check’ where user can view project tasks and their associated milestones.
There is dedicated one tab against the project is ‘Gantt’. On this screen, it shows all the project status against the scheduled time. Users can adjust the length/duration of an individual task by clicking on it with the mouse and either shorten it or lengthen it by dragging the mouse to the desired length, then click the Update button that appears.
There is a pre-defined web portal for the users. Only the enabled users can log in to the portal. On the web portal, the user can see the assigned task to the logged-in user in the Task tab. There is also a Timesheet tab in which the user can see their timesheet entries also users can add the timesheet entry from the portal.
