Users can create two types of budgets, either for a person or company. From the new screen, if the user selects a person it will show budget with person fields. Users can create a budget with Budget Name, Obligated Amount, Award Start Date, Award End Date, etc.
Budget Line Items:
Budget line items help to manage and categorize the budget in different types. Ex. Travels, Expenses, Hardware Purchase, etc. There is a dedicated button on the budget summary to add a new budget line for the specific budget. In this user can allocate the budget amount for particular line items.
Drawdowns:
Drawdown is one of the most important modules in Budget Planner. A Drawdown can be seen as a budget request that must go through the approval process before being paid. Drawdowns are seen as repeatable requests. Users can create drawdowns for budgets month wise also. Also, there is a facility to filter the Drawdown by the Status and Month drop-downs.
Budget Workflow:
Tracking of approvals and denials is an important part of any budget management system, Budget Manager has an integrated workflow that will perform this functionality. This workflow is available on Budget Drawdown, Budget Line summary, and Budget Summary also. From drawdown, users can only approve the particular budget but from budget line summary users can approve drawdowns by their Ref. Also, the budget workflow can easily customizable as per the business requirements.
