Emailing Commission Statement

Sales Commission Application for Sage Intacct is beneficial for users to calculate and pay sales commission to the respective salesperson in-order to achieve better efficiency and save time in calculating commissions, excluding tedious work of manual commission calculation. Therefore, using this application, Sage Intacct users can easily define commission rules and automate commission payments on sales transactions.

In this blog, we are sharing details of a feature in sales commission application wherein employee or salesperson is notified through email with a commission statement where they will receive information about the commission amount paid to them for a particular date range. Kindly refer below screenshot for a sample of the commission statement.

A custom screen is created in sales commission application called as Commission Statement. In this screen, some filters like employee, date range, etc. are available which can be used as per the need of the user. We can sort through client name and invoice number, and send the email to employee based on either only paid commission or both (paid and unpaid) commission. After entering all the necessary fields, click on view.

Once, the list of employees with their commission details are listed, the employees whose commission statement are to be sent. Then click on the process button to send the commission statement to the respective email ids.

Process Screen

We get a notification message stating, “An offline process has been scheduled to be run. Please check the status in Offline process history.”

On the offline history screen, the Status of the email consisting of the commission statement can be viewed. “Pending” status indicates that the email is yet to be sent. Once, the .pdf file of the Commission Statement is sent to the employee; the status changes to “Completed”. See below for the Offline Process History screen.
