What’s New in Accounts Receivable: Sage Intacct 2026 Release 3

By | September 9, 2026

Sage Intacct’s latest release brings five changes to Accounts Receivable, and honestly, they cover a lot of ground – from a small but welcome fix to invoice posting, to a full compliance framework for businesses operating in France. Here’s what’s actually changed and what it means day-to-day.

  • Finally, you can post invoices in bulk

If you’ve ever had to post fifty invoices one click at a time, you’ll appreciate this one. As long as you’ve turned on enhanced lists, you can now select multiple invoices and adjustments in Accounts Receivable and post them all at once instead of opening each record individually.

It’s not a flashy update, but for teams handling high transaction volumes, it removes a lot of repetitive clicking and lets AR scale more comfortably as the business grows. It’s available to Business users everywhere, provided you have List, View, Add, Edit, and Post permissions on Invoices. Full release note

  • Customer Payment Services gets more flexible (Early Adopter)

Intacct’s embedded payment option — the one that lets customers pay an invoice straight from their email, powered by Fortis and other providers — is picking up two useful capabilities for organizations in the Early Adopter program.

First, invoices brought in through a CSV import can now be enabled for electronic payment too. You just set the ENABLEEP field to T on your import template, and those bulk-imported invoices get the same self-service payment option as anything created manually. Second, if you’re on Fortis specifically, customers can now make partial payments on an invoice electronically, and your team can process refunds through Fortis directly from the Customer Refunds screen rather than handling it outside the system. Intacct also automatically guards against duplicate payments when a partial payment comes in.

Together these close a couple of gaps that used to force manual workarounds — importing invoices at scale without losing online payment, and dealing with refunds or partial payments without leaving Intacct. This one’s US-only for now, and you’ll need admin privileges plus the Customer Payment Services subscription. Since it’s still Early Adopter, you’ll need to apply to get access if it’s not already turned on for you. Full release note

  • E-invoicing for France is now generally available

This has been a while coming, but e-invoicing and e-reporting for France is out of early access and available to everyone now. It’s built to help French businesses meet the country’s 2026 e-invoicing mandate — instead of manually emailing PDF invoices and separately reporting transactions to the tax authorities, everything routes through your PA provider and gets reported automatically.

Once you’ve subscribed and enabled your French entities, you can send e-invoices from either Accounts Receivable or Order Entry, receive them on the AP side, and generate e-reports covering B2C sales, cross-border purchases, and payments. Getting set up isn’t a five-minute job, though — you’ll need to wrap up any outstanding CA3 returns first, install the updated French tax solution, add SIREN or SIRET numbers to your customer records, and enable e-reporting on your GL journals.Note that this only applies to French entities with a valid SIREN number and EUR as the base currency, and a couple of transaction types — AR and AP adjustments, plus anything created in Purchasing — aren’t supported yet. • Sender and reply-to addresses are now locked down

Small change, but a smart one for security. When you email an AR invoice or statement, the “Sender” and “Reply to” fields used to be free-text — meaning anyone could type in whatever address they wanted, typos included. Now those fields are dropdowns, populated only from an allow list your admin sets up ahead of time.

It’s a simple way to make sure customer-facing emails only ever go out from approved, validated addresses, which also helps if your organization relies on email authentication policies. Available everywhere, and it applies whenever someone runs Print or Email for invoices or statements. Full release note

  • Inter-entity bill back now works at the entity level

Inter-entity bill back is the feature that automatically bills one entity when another entity in the same company sells it goods or services. Up until now, it only really worked if you were transacting at the top level. If your organization operates strictly at the entity level, that was a problem — this release fixes it.

You can now post bill-back invoices directly within an entity, and if you want to trace the resulting bill, there’s a Record Generator ID link right on the invoice that takes you to it. Sage has also tightened things up a bit: once one of these invoices posts, fields like Account, Transaction Amount, Base Amount, Allocation, Department, and Location can no longer be edited, which keeps the invoice and its paired bill from drifting apart.

This is available across all regions to Business users with the right AR and AP permissions, though both entities need to share the same base currency, and e-invoices can’t be used for bill back. It’s an opt-in feature, so you’ll need to submit a request to have it turned on. Full release note

Taken together, this batch of AR updates is fairly practical — less about adding brand-new functionality and more about smoothing out real friction: fewer clicks to post invoices, tighter control over outbound email, a compliance path for French entities, and more payment options for customers. Most of it is live now across all regions. The Customer Payment Services updates are still limited to Early Adopters, so if that one interests you, reach out to your Sage Intacct rep about getting in.
