Many a times due to various unpredictable reason we encounter numerous errors while browsing over the web some are known and some are not, since not everyone has wisdom about the errors that are encountered on the screen. So in this blog we are focusing on understanding the basic troubleshooting steps to perform if ERROR [S0000] occurs while accessing the SData URL over the web. Refer the below image for ERROR [S0000] [ProvideX][ODBC Driver]PVKIO] Logon failed ERROR [S0000] [ProvideX][ODBC Driver][PVKIO]Logon failed:

Error [S0000]
Error [S0000]

As you all know for accessing SData over the web User needs to enter their Sage 100 Login credentials. So in order to resolve the above encountered error one needs ask the “Administrator” or any user with appropriate rights.

Solution/Resolution

User needs to Login to Sage 100 ERP application for identifying the problem with the User used for accessing SData over the web.

Sage 100 ERP Logon
Sage 100 ERP Logon

After logging to Sage 100 ERP, open “Library Master Module” located under Modules and click on “User Maintenance” sub-module. As shown in the below image:

User Maintenance in Library Master Module

Clicking “User Maintenance” sub-module, will pop a screen where we need to specify the User Logon Name for accessing SData. Refer the below image:

User Maintenance Screen

Once you have enter the required User Logon all the details of the User [the one used for accessing SData] populates on the screen. The screen also has a checkbox at the left bottom of the screen which says “User Account Locked” with the value as “True” or “Checked” which means the following User Logon: SData is locked.

Since the Account is locked, it will not allow the User to login in Sage 100 ERP application. And it will also not allow the User to access to SData over the web. So in order to remove the barrier of not being able to access the SData and logging into Sage 100 ERP application, the Administrator needs to “Un-check” the box of User Account locked for the “SData” for User to continue its Activities.

Conclusion

When the Administrator un-checks the User Account Locked checkbox the user can now access the SData over the web and you can no longer encounter the ERROR [S0000] [ProvideX][ODBC Driver]PVKIO] Logon failed ERROR [S0000] [ProvideX][ODBC Driver][PVKIO]Logon failed. Refer the below image:
