GUMU™ Tricks & Tips – Showing Additional (Related) Sage X3 Data on GUMU™ real-time screen

In this blog, we will discuss on showing additional (related) Sage X3 data from any entity that has a table linked to records from other tables. The information presented here will assist users in configuring the Data Page. For instance, it explains how to access data related to customers from different tables within the Customer Layout. The blog focuses on fetching additional table records in Salesforce and pertains to the configuration of the GUMU™ product.

Please note that you should be a Salesforce Admin in order to modify the details. Along with this you are also required to know the API details and structure of Sage X3 data and related list, grouping etc. for modifying the details on the GUMU™ inquiry screen. Also note that this feature has been updated in GUMU™ lightning package for it be in consistency with teh other features offered by the GUMU™ integration.  

Additional (Related) Sage X3 data:-

Below are the steps to fetch additional (related) Sage X3 table data from Sage X3 to the Real-time screen in Salesforce:-

  • Log into Salesforce.
  • In the App Launcher, search for Inquiries.

  • Once found in the list of the details of the object search for “Customer” in the list as that’s the one associated with the GUMU™ Customer/Account records for displaying related information.
  • Go to the Customer Inquiry screen and click on the new data page section.

  • Customer Inquiry screen details will contain previously defined section that can be modified by the user or updated as well in order to maintain the data visible to the user.
  • Further now the Admin can Create a new data page against Customer Inquiries.
  • Go to the related page and click on the new button.

  • This will open up a new data page that will allow user to enter the details.

  • Enter the Data Page Section Name and on the Related List Name field enter the Group code from Sage X3 from which table you want to get the additional (related) Sage X3 data and click on the save button.

  • Save the “Data Page” record in the screen and if need be you can update the Sort Order or add more fields/details to section for better visibility to the user.
  • Further navigate to the Account page and click on Customer Details.
  • Click on settings at the corner of the page and click on the field-level setup tab.
  • Select a section and add additional (related) Sage X3 data that should be displayed on that created section.

Note:- To get the field data from Sage X3 to the real-time screen user have to set the API name in Field API Name under the data page Section.
