Understanding this necessity, we at Greytrix are excited to introduce a new feature in our GUMU™ product that empowers users with greater control over their data management: Custom Log Retention.
Previously, GUMU™ defaulted to retaining logs for a period of 7 days, after which the old logs were automatically deleted to make room for new data. While this ensured efficient storage utilization, it sometimes fell short for users with varying needs and compliance requirements.
To address this, we have incorporated a highly-requested feature into GUMU™, allowing users to set their desired log retention period beyond the default 7 days. With our latest update, users can now specify a custom number of days for which logs should be retained, providing flexibility and adaptability to suit diverse business environments.
How to Enable Custom Log Retention
- Navigate to Setup, then go to Custom Settings and select Standard Settings.
- Within Standard Settings, locate the “Keep Logs” field. This is the text field we have introduced to enable custom log retention for specific days.
