There are times when the user needs to clear data which are not any more useful for the organization and keeping such large data becomes quite an expensive task. Hence, in this blog, we would be discussing how to clear IC history from the Inventory Control module in Sage 300 2018.
New Stuff: How to set environment variable in sage 300 C
We can use I/C Clear History screen to selectively clear (remove) data from our Inventory Control system.
To clear history we need to follow below steps:
- Open Inventory Control > I/C Periodic Processing > Clear History.
- Select the types of data we want to clear.
We can clear the following types of data:
- Transaction history
- Transaction statistics
- Sales statistics
- Printed posting journals
- Printed item labels
- Expired contract prices
- Transactions
- Serial numbers
- Lot numbers
- Serial history
- Lot history
We can clear one or more types of data at the same time.
After clearing history to confirm it we can print new copies of the lists of the types of records which we have deleted and also to update our files with current information.
Example-
- Here is the available data in I/C Transaction History Inquiry for the Year 2019-01 :
- We cleared the History for the same from I/C Clear History.
There is no available record under I/C Transaction History Inquiry anymore for the specified Year, as we have cleared the Transaction History.
