In this blog, we will discuss about the solution for the warning message while loading the customized screen (OCX) I.e.
”AccpacOE1000.ocx could not be loaded”. Sage 300 provides an SDK (Software Development Kit) using, which a developer can customize, existing OCX screens, which has different OCX, name than that of standard name. Sometimes when any third party customizes any standard sage 300 ERP screen (OCX), user control issue appears while loading the customized Screen.

In this blog, we take an example of a customized OE Order Entry Screen and when user tries to load the customized screen, the following warning appears. By reading warning message, from below screen shot we can say that this could be some compatibility issue. Refer below screen shot for the warning message:
This warning can easily fixed using below steps:
- Open project properties in the code editor of the screen on which warning is occurring.
- Check component, version compatibility.
- If Binary then change it to No compatibility.
Once you change compatibility, to ‘No compatibility’ from Binary, it should resolve the issue “ocx could not be loaded”, but you will have to change the compatibility to binary before making the Final OCX. The OCX can be successfully made if you make it using ‘No compatibility’ mode, but after recompilation the ROTO changes in ‘no compatibility’ mode, therefore we need to change the compatibility to ‘Binary compatibility’ while making the final setup.
