In this blog post, we will discuss the development of an API for the customized Transfer Request Entryscreen in Sage 300 ERP for one of our client, which automates the transfer request process via JSON input.
We have developed an API that allows users to create Transfer Request entries in Sage 300 ERP without manually entering data into the system. Instead, users can send the required information in a predefined JSON format. The API takes this data, processes it, and automatically creates and posts the transfer request under the ADMIN user. Key details like From Location, Requestor Location, and item details must be provided, while other fields like PO Number, Description, and Tracking Number are optional. Some values, such as item and location descriptions or unit of measure, are automatically fetched from the system’s master data.
