Control Access to Merge to Word button in Sage CRM v7.3

In this blog post, we will explain how Sage CRM administrator can add restrictions on any user for merging Quote template to word document.

In Sage CRM v7.3, users can search for Companies or any other entities and Merge to Word button gets visible to the users. Refer below screenshot.

‘Merge to Word’ button is also visible on Groups screen as shown below.

‘Merge to Word’ button is visible on Quote Summary screen as shown below.

Admin user can configure access rights to Merge to Word button by following below steps.
1) Login to Sage CRM and Navigate to the user details section of user.
2) Here the user can set field ‘Merge to Word’ under the Security panel of user as shown below.

3) If Mail Merge to Word is set as Yes, then Merge to Word option will be visible on Find Screen, Group Screen and Quote Summary screens.
Depending upon the settings done, ‘Merge to Word’ options will be available for Sage CRM users.
