GUMU™ for Sage CRM – Sage 50 (US Edition) Integration – Prerequisite

GUMU™ for Sage – Sage 50 (US) integration link is an external bi-directional sync utility which sync data from Sage to Sage 50 (US) and vice verse. It has various GUMU processes like Import customers, Import products, Promote customer, Promote orders etc to synch data from one system to another.

In this blog, we will discuss about the pre-requiste of GUMU™ for Sage CRM – Sage 50 (US) integration link. Before installing GUM Integration, ther are some prerequisite which are as given below,
1. For the first time when configuring GUMU application, we will require Sage 50 application admin user’s credentials. It is require so that we can login to Sage 50 with admin rights and can allow GUMU application to access Sage 50 data.
2.  Allow web services option in Sage CRM
Before running GUMU utility, you need to make sure that in Sage CRM, the option to allow web services is selected. Without this option being enabled, GUMU will not be able to access web services data in Sage CRM
To make this setting, go to Web Services page of Sage CRM Administration | System | Web Services. Here you have to set the following option:-

Once you are done with this, Sage CRM is now accessible through web services
3.  Allow Quotes and Order Option in CRM
To view the Orders and Invoices that are imported into CRM from Sage 50 (US), you need to enable the Quotes and Order option of CRM. To make this setting in Sage CRM to view the imported Orders and Invoices, you have to go to System Behaviour page in CRM Administration ->System -> System Behavior.
Under the System Behavior Tab change the “Use Opportunity Items” option to “Quotes and Order”

4.  Allow Price Lists and UOM’s in CRM
In order to use Price Lists and UOM’s for creating Orders in Sage CRM, user need to allow enable the Price lists and UOM’s option of Sage CRM. For this, user will have to go to “Products Configuration” tab under Sage CRM   Administration | Data Management | Products | Products Configuration Tab.
Here user have to set the following option:-
a. Use Pricing Lists: Yes
b. Use Units of Measure: Yes
c. Order Level Discount: No
Allow Price List and UOM's
Once this is done, you are ready to install and Configure GUMU for Sage CRM and Sage 50 (US) Integration.
