Hello everyone, as we know Sage CRM provides a number of standard features such as Reports, Data Management, etc. Additionally, Sales Forecasting is a standard feature of the Sage CRM application for both Individual CRM users and Teams. This functionality allows individual Sales Users to enter forecasts using their opportunity pipeline. In our blog, we will explain how you prevent the forecast form getting overwritten.
New Stuff: Modify appearance of Sage CRM tabs vertically in Sage CRM 2018 R2
Forecast tab is available under My CRM where the user can see all list of Sales Forecast and its history. On editing any forecast you will see that below section are always editable. Hence some time there is a scenario where the particular fields get updated unknowingly.
Hence to avoid this scenario there is a configuration in Sage CRM which allows the user to restrict this fields from getting overwritten or updated.
Forecast configuration setting is located under below path in Sage CRM.
Administration | Data Management | Forecast
If we change Overwritable Forecast value to No then user cannot change any value in the forecast and all fields are displayed in Read-only mode. Also, the save button is been hidden on the screen as shown below if the Overwritable Forecast is No.
