Mark Task ‘Complete’ from Calendar Tab

Calendar is one of the most effective features available in Sage CRM. In the Calendar tab within My CRM, it allows us to create communications as well as to view Communications created for another user in a more easy and responsive manner. In the calendar tab, you can view the Appointment or Task on daily, weekly, as well as on monthly basis. Even the calendar allows you to search the communications based on action and status. As Sage is improving the Calendar feature to make it easier and more responsive for users, Sage added one more feature in the Calendar tab.

In this blog, we are going to discuss about the new feature introduced in the area of Calendar in Sage CRM, i.e., “Marking a task as Complete from Calendar Tab itself within MY CRM”.

In the older version of Sage CRM, when communication is newly created in the CRM, the status is set as Pending by default. After the task or appointment is completed, communication status needs to be updated manually as Complete for future reference. In two ways you can mark the communication as Complete.

Firstly, you have to find the communication and then select the “Complete” option from the Status dropdown field and hit the save to mark the communication as complete.

Another way is to navigate to the communication tab of any entity like on Company, Person, Cases, lead or Opportunity, etc. Click on the logo image in the Status column of the communication list. On click of the status logo, screen navigates to respective communication summary where communication status is automatically set as “Complete” and click on save to mark the communication as complete.

To avoid such a long and time-consuming process, Sage introduced a new feature in the area of the Calendar Tab. With the help of this new enhancement, you can mark the Status of your task to Complete without opening the task within the calendar tab.

Follow the below steps to mark the Task as Complete in the Calendar Tab within MY CRM:

  1. Go to the My CRM -> Calendar Tab.
  2. Within the Calendar tab, Click on the Tasks calendar view.
  3. In the Complete column of Tasks list in Calendar Tab, click the empty check box icon beside the task whose status you want to mask as Complete. You can refer to the below screenshot for your reference.

Once you mark the task as Complete from the Calendar tab, as a result, the task status is changed to Complete and the icon in the Complete column is changed to the selected check box. You can refer to the below screenshot for the same.

In this way, you can mark the Task as Complete from the Calendar tab within My CRM in just two or three clicks. Just note that this method is available in the Calendar tab only within My CRM.
