KITTING FUNCTIONALITY IN SAGE CRM

The GUMU™ for Sage CRM – Sage 100 is a real-time bi-directional integration link, using which a user can promote Sage CRM company, sales orders from Sage CRM to Sage100. In addition to this, the information for Sage 100 customer flows between Sage CRM on real depending on the configuration setting option selected.

Today in this blog we will discuss the Kit Functionality, one of the recent enhancements we have included in our GUMU™ (V5.6.0.1).

Before getting into detail about the Kit functionality included in the latest GUMU™ version, let us understand what is Kit Item. A Kit Item is nothing but a bunch of items clustered together and sold as one item. For e.g. XYZ company manufactures School Bags, Lunch Boxes, Umbrellas, and Rain Coats. Now for sale they can have two different kits, the KIT1 can contain School Bag, Lunch Box, and Umbrella and the KIT2 can consist of School Bag, Lunch Box, and Rain Coat.

With our latest GUMU™ while creating/processing a sale order in Sage CRM, if the added new line item is a Kit Item then the user will have the option to Explode the Kit Item and add the child items to the line items.

To enable the kitting functionality in the latest GUMU™ the user has to follow the below steps.

  1. Navigate to Administration → Customization → Translations
  2. Search for BOMAccess caption family and set the translation as true.
  3. Then search for the EnableKitting caption family and set the translation as Y.

This will enable the Kitting functionality in your Sage CRM.
