Everything You Need to Know About Sage Partner Summit 2020 in Under 10 Mins!

Sage has succeeded yet again in establishing a gathering of growing ecosystem dedicated to inventing and delivering new ways to optimize business performance and growth. Sage Partner Summit 2020 held in Orlando Florida from March 2-4, saw a turnover of 1000+ footfalls with 100+ learning opportunities through dynamic keynote sessions, Partner sessions and 10+ networking events. Attendees were also in for a treat with the latest releases and overwhelming numbers featuring Sage X3 and Sage Intacct. This year the Sage Partner Summit brought together Partners from across the globe. The attendees were able to contribute to the social cause organized by Sage Foundation with a 5K fun run in support of Soldiers Angels who provide aid and comfort to active servicemen and women, veterans and their families, aiming for $2 million by 2022 fundraising challenge. The fun run saw an active participation from Sage Partners and Sage Team. Greytrix – Sage Gold Development Partner for over two decades and a regular sponsor for Sage events exhibited as a Gold Sponsor at the event with the accolade of being the First Gold Sponsor!

As the event brought about Sage dignitaries and Partners from across the globe, the three days of event was a hands-on experience to Learn, Connect and Transform. Sage has always been magnificent with its solutions and services delivering a strong array of products but this time around in Sage Partner Summit it has proven strong with its team as well! The moments that will be remembered by the Sage ecosystem forever are the exceptional service provided by Taylor Macdonald, for 10 years of building what has become an enviable partner channel to be inspired of and Aaron Harris for completing 20 years of service as one of the founders of Sage Intacct.

  • Steve Hare – Purpose, Vision and Strategy of Sage

Steve, CEO, Sage, started off his keynote session by hitting the note of focussing on the customer. He took to the mantra of starting with the customer, together we succeed and innovate to win while resonating the purpose to transform the way people think and work so their organization can thrive. The vision being true to the dream of becoming a great SAAS company for Sage ecosystem alike and the strategy of Customer success, colleague success and innovation. He added that partners are very critical to Sage vision of becoming a great SaaS company

Steve hare

Lee, Chief Commercial and Product Officer, Sage, spoke on the offerings of modern cloud technology and executing multiple deployment models of cloud computing. The model portfolio covered accounting and financials as well as people and payroll.

  • Marc Linden – Vertical-go-to-Market & The Evolution of Finance

Marc, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Medium Segment Native Cloud Solutions, Sage, shared insights on the Vertical-go-to-Market opportunities for the service centric industries and the product centric industries. It will serve as a truly competitive market, because of the overlapping focuses of the products and services that are provided to the customers. While speaking on the evolution of finance he summed up the stages of evolution since decades which has driven transformation from basic bookkeeping. Marc further added that the cloud computing, artificial intelligence and the digital transformation are brewing up a perfect storm in the new age.

Paul, EVP & Managing Director, Canada, Sage, shared statistics of the total addressable market for 2021 from Sage core regions. The numbers were rather more appreciative of the public cloud growth from 2014 to 2021. This made it quite evident that more and more organizations are embracing the cloud technology. Paul also added to the fact that the Vertical-go-to-Market is the new game focussing on medium segment users for Sage Intacct and Sage X3 with the total addressable market as $15 billion.

  • Gaelle Bourven – Becoming a Great SAAS Company

Gaelle, Product Development Director, Sage X3, started off her keynote session with steps towards becoming a great SAAS company which included 6 quarterly releases, and 600+ hours of client service mentoring, 85 new API’S, 2000+ automated use cases and 800+ new features. She unveiled the Sage X3 automated testing platform to support real world scenarios. Attendees also got a sneak peek of the Sage X3 developer studio and Sage X3 handheld client for business on the go. Sage X3 2020 releases and the cloud hosting program were also revealed.

Robert, Vice President, Product, Sage X3, also started his session by mentioning some statistics of Sage X3 customers by industry. He showed how Sage X3 is supporting process manufacturing operations and product service operations. While speaking on horizontal ERP and vertical ERP with Sage X3 he also summed up the horizontal and vertical capabilities. Attendees learned about building industry extensions with Sage X3.

Aaron, CTO, Sage, illustrated areas where technology may fail compared to humans. He showed how Sage Intacct is scaling and Sage X3 has grown. With the Sage Intacct customers being digitally determined he presented some facts like 368 companies had over 1 million API calls per month, 27.5K active web services tenants and >1200 active web service license. What retained our interest that how AI is going mainstream as agreed upon by Aaron and the Sage ecosystem.

Shivani, Executive Vice President, Ecosystem and Emerging Tech, Sage, started off her session with digital transformation to bring technology and people together in a human-centric manner. Her main area of focus was accelerating digital transformation with digital experiences governing automation and artificial intelligence.

Jay, Principal Analyst, Forrester, in his keynote session stated that $2.26 trillion of channel spend will grow slowly than direct causing 64% split to drop each year by next decade for cloud technology. He spoke of how business leaders and business buyers influence the solution areas. He also provided great insights on the changing trends of marketing and sales in the past decade.

The event also saw an active panel in discussion from Sarah Lemon, Barry Rhein, Jay McBain, Michael Orr and Tony Price. They spoke on how to explore an ecosystem and marketplace approach both internally and externally and scope of amplifying the Sage ecosystem of their respective brands. With the buyer’s now extensively going online industrialists should focus more on marketing, sales and Partner approach.
