The Sales Commission app assists Sage Intacct users to automate commission processing. It helps to simplify commission tracking and ensures accurate commission calculations and payments. Based on entered structure, commissions are calculated on sales transactions. Using this Sage Intacct users can easily do the commission calculations and automate commission posting and payments on sales transactions.
This blog provides in-detail information about the new feature of the Sales Commission Application which will allow users to assign multiple commission plans to individual customer.

Parent Commission Group field has been added to Commission group to allow users to associate commission group to other commission group.
To set up multiple commission groups for a customer, begin by creating individual commission groups using the Commission Groups screen.
Follow these steps to assign attributes to each group:
- Commission group:
- Select commission payment options
- Specify deduction amount
- Commission type:
- specifying commission %
- select default commission type
- select commission posting group
- Assign Employee:
- Select one or multiple employees.
- Assign split %
- Select accounts to override for posting.
Once your desired commission groups are configured, designate one group as the parent.
Then, link this parent commission group to other groups using the new “Parent Commission Group” field.
On the customer screen, select the parent commission group.
Apply multiple commission group to the Invoice
The associated commission group will automatically apply to an Accounts Receivable (AR) Invoice if a customer’s commission group is linked to other groups.
Below example shows calculated commission on AR Invoice after applying deduction and commission % from the parent and associated commission groups.
- Parent Commission Group assigned to Customer = GTX600
- Associated commission group = GTX600A, GTX600B, GTX600C, GTX600D
Invoice Amount = US$ 12000
The calculated commission considers commission percentages from individual groups, including the parent and associated Commission Groups.
The calculate commissions for employees assigned to the parent and associated commission groups.
