Sage 300 ERP General Ledger is designed to handle the most demanding needs of a business which include Multi-currency, Auto-Allocation, Budgeting, Roll ups, etc.
General Ledger Account history inquiry stores the following information for each account:
- Actuals and quantity information for prior years and the net change and balances for each fiscal year
- Total Quantity and Total Net Change for the Fiscal Year
- GL Transaction details for a period
- Drilldown to the individual transaction for a period

Let us have a look at the Account History Inquiry feature of Sage 300 ERP. Use the Chart of Account History and Inquiry Screen to look up information about General Ledger accounts and the transactions posted to these accounts. To view the details, navigate to General Ledger -> GL Accounts -> Account History Inquiry. The screen looks like:
In the Account field, enter the Account number for which you need to inquire. Select the Year for which you want to view the account activity. The Show Quantity option can be used to view the details for the quantities posted to the account.
For Multi-Currency system, you can display source currency balances and their functional equivalents. If the account that is selected is defined as a Multi-currency account, then select a currency and the currency type (Source or Functional) in which you would want to display the account balances.
You can further drilldown to the individual transactions for a particular period by selecting and double-clicking on the individual line. In the above e.g., if you want to check all the transaction individually for second period then the same can be done as follows
You can further drilldown from the GL Transaction History to the transaction screen.
