Sage 300 ERP has made beautiful use Template in the complete system. In this blog we will discuss the use of template field present in Payroll Employee form.
Sage 300 has provided template feature on Payroll Employee master screen which enable Sage 300 users to reuse existing employee details through pre-defined template while creating new employee.
If you select an existing template, Payroll automatically fills details default in to the template for the new employee in the respective fields, which the user can further change or edit.
New Stuff: – Migrate Open Sales Orders from Sage 100 to Sage 300
Go to Payroll Employee –> Open Employee form. Enter new Employee number and press tab Template field get appears on form.
Now click on Finder place besides template field. It will open Finder screen with existing employee list.
Now here you need to select employee whose information you want to reuse for the new employee. All the information except personal details of selected employee gets fill on form once you select the employee from finder. I.e. Employee name, Phone Number, Address, Birth Date, Email Id will be displayed blank.
Other details will get display as it is like cost center details, pay details, Taxes, Notes etc.
User can change or add any value in existing information if user want to.
So using this feature user can reuse the information of previous employee such as earning/deduction, pay, taxes etc. while creating new employee. This will make data entry easier and less time consuming.
