Today we are going to review another important feature of Sage 300 ERP which is Number of Fiscal periods.
New Stuff: A/R Customer List Screen
User can locate the Number of Fiscal Periods option on sage 300 ERP desktop under the path:
Common Service-> Fiscal Calendar-> Options tab
Fiscal year is basically calendar year. But what makes is different from calendar year is number of Periods that a one Fiscal year can have.
This is what exactly the above option defines. In sage 300 ERP Number of Fiscal periods can be 12 or 13.
Fiscal periods 12 define that periods are divided into calendar months i.e. each period represents the month from a year.
A Fiscal year with 13 periods has period of 4 weeks. But here Month will be of 28 days.
If user selects the Fiscal Periods 13 then user has to define the number of quarters with 4 periods.
For Number of Fiscal Periods: 13
Number of Fiscal periods: 12
So this is very useful feature as number of fiscal period within year can be handled using this option.
