Sage 300 v2018 Product Update 2 is released with new enhancements and provisions in classic desktop as well web screens. In this blog we are going to discuss about the feature that has been introduced in Sage 300 2018 web screens for report selection instead of browsing report file.
New Stuff: How to find the column name in sage 300 database from the screen
To demonstrate the feature we can consider the example of OE Forms ->Order Confirmation web screen. You can navigate to the screen by referring to the below screenshot.
In older versions you can see this screen as below:
As displayed in the above screenshot, user can be able to select another report file by using browse button. Now with Sage 300 v2018 PU2 release, drop down is provided for report selection.

This provision for report file selection helps in selecting appropriate report formats with proper print layout as only those report forms are provided for selection. Whereas, with the old report file selection approach user were able to select inappropriate report format which leads to error as effect of parameters mismatch. You can refer to below screenshot for the same:
This dropdown selection lists all the RPT files that are available in the default directory and other customized reports from customized directories assigned to the particular users. This helps user to select appropriate report forms more promptly.
