As we all know Sage 300 v2022 is released. This new release has introduced additional features to Sage 300 Desktop screens. In this blog we are going to discuss regarding one of the feature for setting Expected Ship Date for all the detail lines.
New Stuff: Undeclared Identifier while making View
Navigation for the report:
You can navigate to standard OE Orders screen using navigation as O/E Transactions à OE Orders.
As displayed in screenshot above an additional button is provided as “Set Ship Date”. Using this button user can set value for Expected Ship Date for all order detail lines. It will overwrite and set same value as order header Exp. Ship Date to all the detail lines Exp. Ship Date field.
As you can see in below screenshot, for order in example all the detail lines are having different values for Exp. Ship Date field.
And the header Exp. Ship Date value is different, there may be the case that user want to set all the detail lines to have same Exp. Ship Date value. So, instead of setting the value for each detail line, user can click on “Set Ship Date” button and you will get this field updated for all the detail lines. Please refer to screenshot below:
This feature, is very much useful when Order contains large no. of detail lines, it saves time for updating details and prevents user mistakes too.
Note:
- User will be prompted for confirmation, for overwriting detail line values with header expected Ship date value. If users responses with ‘Yes’ then only it will proceed with changes.
- Once the values are updated for all the detail lines, the values cannot be reset to the original.
