We are familiar that Sage 300 ERP allows to customize the standard screens which has different OCX name than that of standard name. Whenever we perform some type of customization in Sage 300 which has new screen files and other dependent files like DLL are needs to be use in project, but we cannot use these DLL’s directly, so we make the codebase TLB.

For converting DLL to TLB you need to first know the bit version of DLL therefore in this blog we can see that how to find out the DLL bit.
Follow the below steps:
- First Right-click on the DLL and select the “Edit with Notepad++”.
- When DLL file is opened in Notepad++ you will never understand what is exactly is written in DLL. It is not a human-readable format.
- Then press CTRL + F on keyboard. Type “PE” in Find what: textbox.
- Click on Find Next.
- Please observe in the below screenshot there is an “L” in the yellow color box, which means that it is a 32 bit DLL.
- If 64_bit DLL then “dt” will present instead of “L”.
