In Sage CRM, Group is a set of records that all belongs to the same type of entity. You can create groups for all the Main entities including new custom main entities. Groups created in the CRM can be viewed under My CRM -> Groups tab as shown in below screenshot.

You all are well aware with the Security management available in the Sage CRM. You can manage security access rights for all the Primary entities across the organization by setting up Security Profiles and if required, Territories. Using Security management, we can restrict the data in Sage CRM. As you can see in above screenshot, all the persons of a group are visible, irrespective of territory of user. What, if we want to restrict the data based on Securities applied in CRM? Well we can do this by following below steps.
1. Login to Sage CRM.
2. Go to Administration -> Users -> User Configuration.
3. Set “Enable security for groups.” Field to “Yes” and save.
After applying securities for Groups, when you navigate to the Groups tab and open the Group. You can see that, no records are displayed as they are created on the territory other than current user’s territory.
