New feature – Creating Quotes and Orders for Prospects (Non Promoted Customers) using GUMUX3 connector

GUMU™ for Sage CRM – Sage EM integration is a real-time bi-directional link where user can update the information from Sage CRM to Sage EM and vice versa. Today, in this blog we will go through how users can create Quote/Order for prospect customers in Sage CRM.

New Stuff: Pre– Requisites for GUMU Sage CRM – Sage EM Integration

For creating Quote/Order and loading pricing for non- promoted customer in Sage CRM (Prospect), we will have to first create an existing valid Dummy Customer number in Sage EM. This customer number is used in Sage CRM for loading pricing for non-promoted customer (prospect Sage CRM Company) in Sage CRM.

In order to create quote/order and load the price for non-promoted customer, we have added an additional field on GUMU™ configuration as Prospect Customer, where user will enter dummy customer created above. Once this is done then while creating quote/order for any prospect in Sage CRM, we use this dummy customer Number for fetching pricing detail from sage EM. For this,

  • Go to the Administration > Sage EM > Configuration.
  • Select the folder name from the list.
  • Add the prospect customer number to Prospect Customer field.
  • Save the details.

Please note below points for loading pricing for Non-Promoted customer in Sage CRM,

  • The Sage EM folder name must be selected on company summary screen for which user wants to create quote/order in Sage CRM.
  • The “Sage EM customer no” provided at GUMU™ configuration must be exist in Sage EM.
  • If you have multiple Sage EM folders Integration, then in this case, user will have to create and assign new dummy customer number for each Sage EM folder in Sage CRM GUMU configuration screen.
