Notifications are a very powerful tool in Sage CRM. It can keep Sales and Management people aware of what’s moving in their Sales pipeline. Sage CRM has inbuilt functionality to either show on screen notifications or send out email notifications. There are 2 ways to do this, escalation rules or Quick notifications.
New Stuff: Highlight Date Column in Sage CRM Grid
In Sage CRM 2017 onwards, On Screen Notifications can be seen with a new tab at the right hand side corner. In this area, notification from all the entities can be viewed. Sometimes, it gets difficult to distinguish between notifications as too many of them are available in the same context. So, in order to avoid such confusion we can format the notification content using HTML syntax.
Let’s follow the below steps to format the notification content of “High Value Opportunity” notification.
1. Login to Sage CRM.
2. Go to Administration -> Customization -> Translations
3. In Caption Code, write “NotifyHighValueOppoWon” and search.
4. Open the translation and change the “US Translation” as follows:
<I><B>High Value Opportunity won:</B> Opportunity <B><font face=”verdana” color=”green”>#oppo_description#</font></B> assigned to #oppo_assigneduserid# forecast value <B><font face=”verdana” color=”red”>#oppo_forecast#</font></B> has been won.</I>
Notifications rely on tomcat service. So, if you have made any changes in the notifications, then to reflect the same you have to restart the Apache Tomcat Service of CRM.
After restarting the service, click on the Notification icon, you can see that the “High-Value Opportunity” notification content is formatted with HTML as shown in below screenshot.
