With the release of new versions of Sage CRM, great enhancements has been introduced in terms of UI/UX which has improved the User experience to a huge extent. Sage CRM has always been in talks for its flexible and configurable nature where the layout can be modified with ease. However, recently while working with Sage CRM 2018 R3 system we faced unusual UI issues especially with the fields layout.
On installing Sage CRM 2018 R3 version, we logged in to the CRM to check if there are any discrepancies and found none. As you can see in below screenshot, Opportunity entry screen looks fine.
However on integrating the same system with Sage 300, we could find some unusual UI issues with the screen and fields layout as shown in below screenshot.
Here, the major issue that we found was with the Multi-select fields. The selection height of these fields was displayed as 1 Line rather than 5 as per the standard configurations.
We checked the field properties as well as tried to alter the Height settings of the multi-select field through the screen settings as shown below, but no luck.
Later we checked the stylesheet used for CRM layout and noticed that the size is set in HTML and the height is set in CSS. As the height was overriding the size, it worked perfectly fine once we comment this out. You can follow below steps to make the changes –
- Open the ergonomic.css file from the CRM directory which will be located at the path something like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage\CRM\CRM\WWWRoot\Themes
- Comment out the height line in the “.VIEWBOXCAPTION .EDIT” section.
Delete all the Browser cookies and check. Changes will be reflected as shown below.
In this way, you can fix the UI Issues of Sage CRM 2018 R3 Integrated system.
