Adding and Sorting of Additional Fields to Calendar List in Sage CRM 2018 R3

We all are aware of a new feature “Calendar List” tab introduced in Sage CRM 2018 R3, which allow us to use Standard Calendar information in more easy and responsive manner. It allows sorting of data of the following fields: Attachment, Person, Company, Subject, Detail, Status, Type, Action and Date / Time in ascending or descending manner simply by clicking on its Header Caption. But what if we want to add a new field to this list and sort data using the newly added field. Well in this blog we will tell you how this can be done by following simple steps.

New Stuff: Adding ToolTip for Fields in Sage CRM

Suppose, we want to add Location field of Communication to Calendar List, so to do this we need to follow below-given steps:

  1. Log into Sage CRM as Sage CRM Administrator.
  2. Navigate to Administration | Customization | Communication.
  3. Click on “Lists” Panel
  4. Click on “CalendarList”. Refer below screenshot.

  5. Select “Communication: Location (comm_location)” from a dropdown list.
  6. Click on Add button.
  7. Click on Save button. Refer below screenshot:

Now navigate to, My CRM -> Calendar List tab, here you can see that Location field is been added to the list. And to sort data, similar to the sorting of other fields, we need to click on Location caption present in Header of List. Refer below screenshot:
