Change the Look and Feel of Sage CRM Grid

Sage CRM always provides configuration to change a screen level look and feel so that users can set up their screen, lists, buttons as per their requirements. It helps to build up convenience in the business process. Recently one of our clients wanted to change the color of button and text from the Sage CRM Grid.

New Stuff: Modify the number of Stages to be displayed in Sage CRM

Therefore, we will discuss how to change the color of button and link text of Sage CRM Grid. By default, if Sage CRM user navigates to any List or Grid, Filter button appears into “Blue “color and the text which has hyperlinks available in the grid appears in “Green” color. Refer below image.

Let’s say, the user needs to change the color of the Filter button from Blue to Green and the text color of column which has Hyperlink from Green to Blue. In that case, below steps needs to be followed.

  • Navigate to below path on Sage CRM Server.
    <Sage CRM installation folder>\WWWRoot\Themes\
  • In Themes folder, user will get the “ergonomic.css” file.
  • Edit “ergonomic.css” file to modify existing code as shown below.

Note: Before doing any changes take backup of CRM files.

  • Save the file.
  • To reflects the changes, navigates to IIS Manager. Click on “Application Pools” and select CRM Instance from list and click on “Recycle” action.

  • Run the ‘IISRESET’ and clear the browser cache before login to CRM.

That’s it. Once done, you can login to Sage CRM and see all changes are reflected in Sage CRM Grid. Remember these changes will be reflected at all places where Hyperlinks are available and Filter buttons available in Sage CRM. 

In this way, users can change the look and feel of Sage CRM easily. Also, anyone can use the above trick to change the other field color as needed.
