Add a customized O/E report for Sage CRM integrated with Sage 300

Sage CRM integration with Sage 300 allows a user to view the data from an ERP System in a CRM System. The key features of Integration include below.

  • Bi-directional import/synchronize customers from the two systems.
  • Ability to view order details in the CRM System of the linked customer in CRM.
  • Import/ synchronize items in ERP with CRM products.
  • Create CRM quotes using ERP pricing and discounts including quantity discounts. Quotes may then be converted to orders and promoted to ERP from CRM itself.

Recently one of our clients has come up with a requirement to add a customized report on the O/E Quotes screen which is available within Sage CRM integrated with Sage 300. As per the standard integrated system user can see only below pre-configured reports in Sage CRM.

In this blog, we will discuss how users can add a customized report on the above screen. We have done some research and understood that this screen displays all the reports from the below path.
<<Sage300InstallationDirectory>>\Sage300\OE68A\ENG\.

Note: As per Sage 300 versions the folder name ‘OE68A’ might change to ‘OE67A’, ‘OE69A’

Therefore,  to add a new report into the above list, the user needs to place the customized report with extension “.RPT” file on the above path.

For example, we have added an “oequote” customized report on the same path.

To verify if the report is visible in Sage CRM, users need to follow the below steps.

  • Log in to Sage CRM.
  • Navigate to an Opportunity and select the “Quotes” tab. Create a quote against the respective opportunity
  • Click on the Post button at the end.
  • Click on Search Symbol and you will see that the report “oequote.rpt” will be available in the Select Report section.

  • Users can select the report they want and print it.

Similarly, users can add multiple customized reports in Sage CRM O/E Quotes and O/E Orders section.
