In Sage X3, we may come across a scenario where user get this error while entering and tab out of the company name field in the budget misc. operation screen. Refer below screen shot:
To solve this functionality, follow below steps:
Step1:
Navigate to : Setup → Organisational structure → Ledgers
In this screen, select any ledger, here I am using ANG ledger because in my transaction budget I have selected Angola legislation.
Step 2: Tick the checkboxes of below field, which is under Type of Accounting section:
a. Budget Field.
Refer below screens shot:
Step3: Go back to the Budget misc. operation screen.
Navigate to: Financials → Budgets → Budget misc. operations
Now enter all the data in the header section , make sure that for which legislation user is selecting budget , company should be of the same legislation. For example : I have taken Budget of Angola legislation. Company should also be from the Angola legislation.
After doing all above steps, user may not get this error again. Refer below screen shot:
